‘EMPOWERING WOMEN IN BUSINESS WITH INFORMATION, TOOLS AND FUNDS TO THRIVE’

Research shows that increased gender equality does not only help the economy but also has tangible benefits for the individual enterprises. As part of this global effort small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can play a key and leading role creating new opportunities for women’s economic empowerment.

This makes gender equality a win-win situation for both the immediate community and the global community.

One effective way of promoting women’s empowerment in markets and value chains that are mostly male dominated is to invest time, effort, money and other resources necessary to make the real impact in ventures that are adjacent to the core business of the enterprise.

Two factors responsible for many of the barriers to women empowerment are social and cultural norms.

It is important to recognize the enterprise has in its ability to create more sustainable economic opportunities for women.

African women are rising up to the task and getting more involved in the development of the economy of the continent.

With SME Fast Track 2018, we can help more women make their business ideas become reality and as well solve the most important limitation in Africa which is funds
